The Colt Python Combat Elite pairs the Python action with a 3-inch barrel, an unfluted cylinder, G10 grips and an adjustable rear sight, all in .357 Magnum. The listing records this one as used, and it is held at the seller's Dallas location.

The 3-inch barrel makes this a Python sized for carry and home defense, and the G10 grips and adjustable sight keep it practical for a Connecticut owner who wants one revolver for both. The state requires a State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers or a Handgun Eligibility Certificate, both available at 21, before any dealer hands over a handgun; the dealer obtains a DESPP authorization number after your background check, there is no fixed waiting period after that, and you may take no more than three handguns in any 30 days. The unfluted cylinder is the visual cue that marks the Combat Elite.
