This CVA Accura MR-X is the .45 caliber version of the shortened Accura Mountain Rifle, with a 26-inch threaded Bergara barrel and an OD Green, Gray and Black finish. It comes with a KonusPro 3-9x40 IR scope with a BDC reticle already included, plus a soft rifle case, and the receiver has a manual safety. The compact MR-X profile is meant for thickets, tree stands and steep ground where a long barrel gets in the way.

At .45 caliber it sits right on Connecticut's minimum for the muzzleloader deer season that opens December 9, so it is eligible for that season on private land and on state land, which allows shotguns and muzzleloaders only. The scope and BDC reticle matter because the shorter barrel is pitched at hunters who still want reach, and the included case gets it to the woods in one piece. Sunday hunting remains private land only.
