The Citadel Warthog Tactical is a semi-automatic 12 gauge with a 20-inch barrel, a 3-inch chamber and 4+1 capacity, weighing 7.4 pounds. The stock is black synthetic with a pistol grip, and the sights are raised tactical units with a ghost ring. A manual safety is fitted. Five choke tubes come with the gun: Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full.

Those chokes give a tactical gun a wide range of use: Cylinder for defensive loads at close distance, Full for tighter patterns, and the barrel still works with single projectiles. That last point matters in Connecticut, where a 12 gauge with single projectiles is permitted on private land for deer from November 18 to December 8, and where state land in that window allows shotguns and muzzleloaders only. The semi-automatic action handles follow-up shots, and the raised ghost ring gives a rifle-style sight picture rather than a bare bead.
