DESCRIPTION

This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare, Pearl Manufacturing UC-9 9mm transferable folding sub machine gun., featuring an extremely low production serial number of UC0012.

Dubbed the “Radio Gun” after its appearance in the movie Robocop II where it was transformed quickly from a 80’s era “boom box” to a working machine gun in seconds by one of the movies antagonists who appeared unarmed, the Pearl UC-9 is truly in a class of it’s own.

Originally designed to hide in plain sight, this item unfolds from a small rectangle (10.37″ in length or about the size of a 1980’s era transistor radio, or a more modern portable hard drive) to a fully functional open-bolt sub machine gun in a manner of seconds. It utilizes unmodified UZI 9mm magazines, and can fit a full 32rd magazine inside of itself while fully folded.

To unfold, an operator tears away a steel front dust cover (which can be thrown or dropped as a distraction device) and the machine gun will quickly unfold and lock in position. The magazine is already inserted, so a quick tug of the charging handle makes the gun completely operational.

This transferable machine gun is rarely seen in any configuration (as less than 100 were ever made). This model is in new-in-the-box, unfired condition. It still has its original factory attached hang tag on the front charging handle. It is being offered in new, old stock condition and has not been fired outside of factory testing. There are some minor handling marks in the painted finish at the pressure points of the folding unit, however they are consistent with the marks on all UC-9’s from the factory, as the folding mechanism itself creates them.

This fully transferable machine gun comes in its original aluminum case with operational sheet, three magazines, a Crimson Trace green laser sighting system mounted directly to the non-reciprocating charging handle, four removable front dust covers, magazine loader, and host of extra springs and replacement parts.

This machine gun is currently on a Form 3 and is fully transferable.
