Federal's Power-Shok .410 slug is a quarter-ounce lead rifled slug loaded in a 2 1/2-inch plastic hull, sold five to a box. The rifling is cast into the lead slug itself. It is meant for any .410 bore firearm chambered for 2 1/2-inch shells, and Federal positions it as a hunting and general field load.

The short 2 1/2-inch hull is the fitment detail to check: it chambers in .410s cut for that length and in guns with 3-inch chambers. Five rounds per box suits a single-projectile load you pattern once and then carry a handful of in the field rather than shoot by the case. Before relying on it, confirm your own barrel's point of impact with this exact load, since slugs and shot rarely print to the same spot from one gun. Keep the box dry and it stores as long as any other shotshell.
