DESCRIPTION
This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare, original factory prototype-numbered MK 760 9mm transferable submachine gun made by MK Arms in Irvine, CA. The factory serial number is “PROTO2.”
Manufactured by MK Arms after they purchased the rights for the design from Smith and Wesson in 1983, the MK 760 is the best known copy of the venerable S&W M76 machine gun. Made to the same specs as the original design, this particular model was one of the first prototype versions of the MK 760 and was aptly serial numbered “PROTO2″ by MK Arms.
This transferable machine gun is in overall very good to excellent condition, with only minor handling marks noted in the exterior finish. The internals are in excellent condition, and the barrel rifling still has crisp edges on the lands and grooves. It features an original side folding stock, front sight blade, and rear aperture sight, along with its telltale barrel shroud covering the 8” barrel.
This model also comes in its original MK Arms box with manual, and one 36rd box magazine. This collectible, fully transferable sub machine gun is currently on an eFormable Form 3.
